Surfing Vacation in Hawaii
Compared to the rest of our gut-wrenching inventory, this is one of the mellower clips we’ve featured at Nerve Rush HQ. That said, some gnarly cool riding from the guys at Young Wise Tails in Hawaii. Well done, guys.

Garrett McNamara Surfs Uber-Monstrous 90-Foot Wave
[youtube id=”nd2jtwviyC8″ width=”600″ height=”350″]
Well folks, it happened. Just when you think there isn’t enough adrenaline-packed activity out there, Garrett McNamara shatters our expectations with a 90-foot wave. It happened a couple of weeks ago on November 1st, when McNamara, a Hawaiian professional, was surfing off the coast of Praia do Norte, Nazare, Portugal with fellow big-wave riders Al Mennie and Andrew Cotton.
Al Mennie told Surfer Today, “Everything was perfect – the weather, the waves. Cotty and I surfed two big waves of about 60 feet and then, when Garrett was ready came a canyon of wave of over 90 feet.”
The funny thing–McNamara wasn’t even planning on surfing that day. I read that he had only agreed to go out and tow his friends, but apparently a bit of persuasion got the best of him. McNamara ended up riding the biggest wave recorded on film and certainly one of the world’s highest ever ridden.
You go, brah!
