You thought running a marathon was tough? Try 100+ miles. Or better yet, a much shorter distance, like 5 miles, but throw in mud, freezing water a lot of hills and a number of military-inspired obstacles. Sounds fun, eh? These days, the world of racing has taken many forms. Whether obstacle racing, triathlon racing or adventure racing, you have a number of options outside a traditional 5K road race. Tie those laces, stretch those hamstrings and get on it, folks.
